In this role you will be responsible for providing support to the Catering Team in the effective provision of Catering within one of our hostel locations in Watford, Hertfordshire.
Your primary focus is to provide high quality catering services within all areas of the site, whilst also providing support to residents as part of the wider housing team. Our residents have a variety of support needs, including mental health issues, offenders, and family breakdown, alcohol, and drug dependency issues.
The Role:

To assist as directed with all aspects of preparation and presentation off food, to the company standards and to receive any training necessary.

To provide an efficient, caring and friendly service to all residents with in all areas of the catering department.

To ensure that food is presented and served in a clean, hygienic environment.

To complete all necessary documentation for each service.

To communicate well and demonstrate a pleasant and polite personality.

To undertake all aspects in cleaning equipment, walls, floors, fixtures, fittings, pots. pans, cutlery, crockery, glassware etc, to the company standard according to the cleaning rota as directed.

To ensure tables and accompaniments are left clean as is reasonably practicable and adequately stocked during service times and re stock as required.

To load service counters as and when directed and ensure sufficient supplies throughout service period., Hours: 20 hours PW. We are flexible to alternate shifts and are willing to operate flexible working as long as business needs are met.

One YMCA and its subsidiaries, the Early Childhood Partnership (ECP) and Signpost are on an exciting journey to double our impact by 2025. We are over half way through an exciting new strategy launched in the first hour of the new decade, via email where all staff and volunteers were invited to put themselves forward to apply and attend an intensive, three-day Kickstarter Event.
By the end of these three days, there was a brilliantly multi-faceted set of themes and ideas, which formed the starting point for the rest of the Mission 25 process to build on. The aim of Mission 25 is to give every staff member and volunteer the opportunity to play their part in shaping the strategy to do "more and better, together" so that we double our impact by 2025. We deliver a vast array of services across Herts, Beds and Bucks that reach over 135,000 individuals annually.
