15 hours a week plus additional hours for void and deep cleans (days and times to be agreed with the successful candidate). We are looking for a Housekeeper to join our friendly and professional team to provide a high standard of cleaning in our housing and communal areas. The role includes cleaning communal areas and office spaces, carrying out deep cleans of vacated units, and undertaking scheduled routine deep cleans in shared properties. Working under our Senior Housing Officer, you’ll play an important part in ensuring that both residents and staff have a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine cleaning in our shared supported housing properties
- Undertake general cleaning of communal areas in our supported and move-on buildings
- Work with other housing staff to ensure fast, high quality turnarounds of void properties
- Undertake monthly, quarterly and annual deep cleans of shared properties
- Assist housing and support teams to deliver ad-hoc cleaning-based life skills sessions to residents where necessary
Qualifications
- Previous cleaning/housekeeping experience in residential, supported housing, commercial, or care environment is essential
- Understanding of COSHH requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a sense of humour, patience, and confidence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
- Understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries
- A common sense approach
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance for travel between sites
