About the role

YMCA Trinity Group is looking for an experienced and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to join our Facilities team in Cambridge.

This is a hands‑on role that combines practical maintenance expertise with team leadership, helping to ensure our buildings remain safe, compliant, and welcoming for the people we support.

The successful candidate will lead on a wide range of maintenance activities across our sites, coordinate day‑to‑day facilities requirements, support a small maintenance team, and contribute to the ongoing development of our maintenance strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general maintenance and repair work across YMCA sites.
  • Lead and support a small maintenance team to deliver high-quality work.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and ensure jobs are completed on time.
  • Help maintain health and safety, fire safety, and statutory compliance standards.
  • Support building improvement projects and the smooth day-to-day running of facilities.
  • What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a practical and organised maintenance professional with strong problem‑solving skills and previous experience in building maintenance and team supervision.

  • Experience in building maintenance, repairs, or facilities management.
  • Experience supervising or supporting a team.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • Strong problem‑solving and organisational skills.
  • Basic knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, or fire safety.

Days and hours –

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will also participate in an on‑call rota.
