We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Youth Worker to support the growth of our expanding programme in West Kent. We are looking for an individual with drive, creativity and innovation who can work alongside the Youth Work Manager to develop and deliver impactful programmes for children and young people across West Kent.
The right candidate will be an excellent role model with a strong understanding of the challenges facing young people today, including issues such as substance misuse, family breakdown, homelessness, mental health and learning or physical disabilities. Applicants should have good knowledge and/or experience of safeguarding and be confident in supporting, mentoring, and developing young people. You will be someone who can empower and encourage them to reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Working closely with young people requires patience, the ability to listen and a compassionate approach. Reliability, flexibility, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people are essential.
As this role covers multiple locations, a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
