Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of young people? YMCA Thames Gateway provides accommodation and support to young people and children in care, helping them develop the skills and confidence to live independently. We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Intensive Housing Management Officer to join our team. In this role, you’ll support young people to sustain their tenancies and achieve independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out needs and risk assessments.
  • Develop sustainment plans and monitor progress.
  • Ensure compliance with occupancy agreements and manage rent accounts.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience supporting young people in a housing, care or residential setting.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and the challenges faced by young people.
  • Excellent communication, record-keeping and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends when required.
  • A qualification in youth work, housing or a related area is desirable.

Contract Type: 6 Months Fixed-term contract

Working Pattern: Full-time (Rota Monday to Sunday 08:00-16:00/14:00-22:00)
