You’ll inspire young people to develop their own creativity, self-esteem and to value integrity, respect and collaboration with others. We divide up the children into age groups and have different, age relevant activities planned for the day.

Responsibilities

  • Run skills clinics for children ages 8-15 years old, every morning of Camp Williams to learn a new hobby, practice a favourite sport or try something for the very first time.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a high-energy, safe, fun and engaging environment for all participants.
  • Support children in developing confidence, social skills and positive attitudes through structured activities.
  • Work with volunteers and staff to organise activities, manage groups by age, and adapt plans as needed for different cohorts.

Schedule and Eligibility

The camp runs during school holidays in Nottinghamshire County Council areas, based from the YMCA Community and Activity Village. The camp day is 7.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. We operate during every school holiday; return to work for ongoing hours over an academic year is encouraged. Participants are welcome to return for multiple holidays and may become long-term members of the Camp team.
