We are seeking a lively and enthusiastic Skills Clinic Leader to help run our daily programme at Camp Williams. This role involves catering to children aged 8‑15, delivering age‑appropriate activities, and ensuring they are well looked after, engaged, and have fun.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate daily skills clinic sessions, including new hobbies, favourite sports, or first‑time activities.
  • Divide children into appropriate age groups and adapt activities accordingly.
  • Provide support and encouragement to promote self‑esteem, integrity, respect, and collaboration among participants.
  • Maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all children throughout the camp day (7:30 am – 6:00 pm, Monday‑Friday).
  • Commit to full weeks of camp to ensure continuity for the children in your care.

Qualifications

  • Over 18 years of age.
  • Experience in coaching, teaching, or leading children is highly desirable.
  • Pass a satisfactory enhanced DBS check (paid for by YMCA) and be registered with the DBS Update Service.
  • Available to work each Nottinghamshire County Council school holiday, Monday‑Friday.
  • Openness to returning for subsequent holiday sessions and becoming a long‑term camp team member.
