We are looking for a Maintenance Handyperson who can work as part of a team to help repair, fix and maintain our properties across Nottinghamshire. You can expect your day to day role to include:
- Carrying out repairs and general maintenance
- Preventative planned maintenance
- Reactive maintenance repairs
- Tasks range from simple building maintenance and joinery to plumbing, painting, and gardening.
About You
You will have a broad range of practical skills and be that person everyone turns to when something breaks! You’ll love DIY, being active and completing practical tasks. It doesn’t matter if you have the qualifications or not, we can give you the training you need to do this job if you are keen and willing to do it! We know many of these skills are self-taught! We need your practical expertise to keep our portfolio of properties well maintained and safe for our residents. You will want to do the best you can with the time and resources around you. A desire to make things better than they are today is essential as we are always looking for ways to make our budgets stretch that little bit further!
We can help you start a career by providing you with a full training programme to skill you in plumbing, plastering and general maintenance. You will also be supported by a fantastic team who are always happy to help. You will need a driving licence so that you are able to travel around our portfolio of properties although you will be provided with a fleet vehicle and all the tools needed to do your job. This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check (paid for by YMCA) and registration with the DBS Update Service. We reserve the right to withdraw this role before the closing date should we be able to appoint to the role.
