Are you passionate about health and fitness and have the energy and enthusiasm to inspire others? YMCA Newark & Sherwood Activity and Community Village is looking for motivated Health & Fitness Coaches to deliver engaging, inclusive fitness classes and gym‑based support for children, young people, and adults.
As a Health & Fitness Coach, you will be responsible for delivering a variety of fitness sessions, from group classes to supervised gym training, ensuring every member feels supported, included, and motivated to achieve their goals. Your role will go beyond delivering sessions—you’ll help create a positive and welcoming environment, build strong relationships with members, encourage participation and retention, and act as a role model for people of all ages and abilities.
You will also support the Health and Sports manager with any administrative duties, such as rotas, data tracking and business development responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 Personal Training qualification (or equivalent) and have experience delivering fitness coaching or classes. A passion for inclusion is essential, and experience working with children, young people, or individuals with disabilities would be highly desirable.
