As a not-for-profit provider of residential child care, our number 1 priority is always the children. From the basics of providing a loving, safe, nurturing home to the specifics of planned days out and activities, we make sure the children have every opportunity to thrive 365 days a year.

Role Summary

  • Location: Goole (DN14)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week including weekends and bank holidays

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team to ensure the children are looked after 24/7, creating a safe, loving, nurturing home.
  • Complete household tasks to keep the home clean and tidy.
  • Build relationships with the children – learn what they like, need and how best to support them.
  • Plan and prepare home‑cooked meals.
  • Organise activities and events around hobbies and interests to capture imagination and engagement.
  • Follow and update care plans, handover sheets and other relevant documentation.
  • Apply the therapeutic model to help children stay calm and feel safe during dysregulated moments.
  • Support school attendance and engagement.
  • Be a team player creating a great working environment within the home.
  • Assist the Home Manager in achieving and maintaining an OFSTED rating of good or outstanding.
  • Prioritise your continual development and be open to learning new things.
