At YMCA Robin Hood Group, we believe everyone deserves a safe place to live. We provide secure, supportive accommodation for young people aged 16+ and vulnerable adults, and we are proud of the impact our Supported Housing team makes across Ashfield, Mansfield, Worksop, and Goole. We are now seeking a Housing Operations Manager to lead this dedicated team.

Our team works closely with Residents to strengthen support plans, build positive relationships, and develop the skills needed for independent living. If you are an experienced Manager in supported housing who is passionate about leading teams, shaping services, and delivering high-quality, person-centred support, this role offers a meaningful next step.

Your role will involve:

  • Leadership & People Management: Lead and develop a team of Managers, driving consistently high standards. Achieve key objectives for positive resident outcomes and tenancy sustainment.
  • Service Provision: Oversee daily operations to meet and exceed internal standards, regulatory requirements, Ofsted expectations, and Regulated Housing Standards. Encourage Resident involvement to strengthen engagement and outcomes.
  • Partnerships: Manage key stakeholder relationships and develop strategic partnerships, including with commissioned services and Ofsted. Work collaboratively across the Senior Leadership Team and wider YMCA departments to improve processes and service delivery.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgets, forecasting, and financial performance, ensuring sustainability and minimising voids.

If you are looking for a role where you can combine compassion with compliance and leverage your wealth of relevant experience to empower our staff teams, this could be your ideal next role.

Proven leadership experience in supported housing or residential childcare is essential, along with a strong understanding of the regulatory frameworks related to Ofsted and Regulator of Social Housing standards. Exceptional communication and stakeholder relationship management skills are required, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a Senior Leadership Team and internal departments. Experience in budget management and financial oversight is also necessary, alongside a commitment to safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults. A minimum Level 4 in Housing Management, or willingness to complete the course, is expected. A UK driving license and access to your own car are required to travel between the four sites you will manage.

Most importantly, you will care that everyone should have a fair chance to discover who they are and what they can become.

What We Value: We are driven by our core values and we look for these in every member of our team:

  • We Seek Out: We are always looking for ways to do better.
  • We Welcome: We include, respect, and support everyone.
  • We Inspire: We believe in every person's potential.
  • We Speak Out: We advocate for what's right.
  • We Serve Others: We act with compassion and purpose.

These values shape how we work, lead, and serve.

Our North Star: Everything we do is inspired by our ambition that every child and young person we support:

  • Builds the relationships that help them discover who they are
  • Develops the skills and confidence to shape their own life
  • Learns how to connect with and contribute to the world around them

Your leadership will play a vital role in achieving this mission.

Our Benefits: We value your commitment and relentless dedication and have crafted a package of health & well-being benefits. Here’s some of what you can expect:

  • Funded training, qualifications & career progression across YMCA services
  • Quarterly Campfires celebrating our impact across the organisation
  • Wellbeing package (after passing probation): 24/7 GP access, health/dental cashback, Employment Assistance Programme
  • Minimum of 27 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), increasing to 32 days with 5 years service
