We're seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and compassionate leader with a proven track record in competitive gymnastics coaching. The ideal candidate will have expertise in skill development, routine preparation, and mental coaching, along with a deep commitment to fostering a supportive and team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Personalized Training: Develop and implement tailored training programs to meet each gymnast's unique needs and goals.
  • Skill Development: Assess athletes' abilities, provide feedback, and enhance strength and flexibility through conditioning and flexibility plans.
  • Competition Preparation: Choreograph routines, refine skills, and guide gymnasts in preparing for regional and national competitions.
  • Mentorship: Foster an encouraging, positive environment that promotes personal growth and confidence, aligning with the Y's core values.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with fellow coaches and support staff to ensure a unified training approach.
  • Safety & Communication: Stay updated on gymnastics techniques, trends, and safety standards, and keep parents, athletes, and stakeholders informed on progress and updates.

Qualifications:
  • Extensive Coaching Experience: Proven track record as a gymnastics coach with advanced technical knowledge of disciplines and coaching techniques.
  • Certifications: Certified as a Level 8/9 coach with expertise in coaching levels 6-10.
  • Athlete Development: Success in skill progression and developing gymnasts who excel and confidently compete at high levels.
  • Program Design: Skilled in creating and implementing effective, individualized training programs and routines.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to connect with athletes and build strong relationships with families through clear, supportive communication.
  • Safety Compliance: SafeSport Certified (or willingness to obtain certification within 15 days of hire).
  • Flexibility: Availability to work evenings and weekends to support training sessions and competitions.
