The YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking a role model for role models, a fearless guide for staff members who work tirelessly to provide children with care each and every day. The School Age Program Site Director position requires someone who has energy, a happy demeanor and strong leadership skills to nurture, support and empower our children each morning and afternoon while also coordinating our staff team with a balance of empathy, accountability, role modeling and hands-on work.

Salary range is $19-22/hour. Position is part time up to 28 hours per week (more available during school breaks) and we offer a 10%+ differential for staff bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities include:
- Engage campers and motivate staff for an amazing day camp experience.
- Ensures high quality programs and plans new program activities.
- Trains and schedules staff and volunteers as needed.
- Ensures that YMCA program standards are met and safety procedures followed.
- Develops and implements programming for their assigned site.
- Independently supervises all staff, provides appropriate direction and participates in all programming activities.
- Adheres to program standards including CDHS licensing, safety and cleanliness.
- Attends staff meetings, trainings, association and site specific events as appropriate.
- Follows and insures implementation of all YMCA emergency procedures, site-specific guidelines, recommended practices, pertinent standards and policies, and State regulations.
- Maintains an open, friendly, professional relationship with staff, parents, participants and community members.
- Maintains confidentiality of YMCA issues, incidents and records.
- Is on time for all shifts; and is flexible to accommodate unexpected schedule changes, including full days.
- Practices positive guidance and preventative discipline techniques to participants with natural consequences in accordance with YMCA policies, procedures and expectations.
- Maintains regular and timely communication with supervisor concerning program and participant needs.
- Maintain required records, staff files, child files, attendance records, and other necessary information.
- Monitors and maintains site budget and purchase needed supplies and materials.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Age 21 years or older.
- AND one of the following:
- 910 hours of documented experience and 48 hours of college credit.
- A four-year degree in a related field.
- 5,640 hours of documented experience.
