We are seeking a proactive and skilled individual to join our team as a Management Accountant located at our premises in North Shields. If you are looking for a rewarding finance role where your expertise can help a historic movement support its community, we encourage you to apply!

What Will You Be Doing?
As our Management Accountant, you will report directly to the Finance Director, working across both our housing division and our social enterprise. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Financial Reporting & Budgets: Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, KPIs, and annual forecasts.
- Rent & Service Charges: Managing all aspects of rents and service charges to ensure industry standard compliance, accuracy, and transparency.
- Business Partnering: Collaborating with Estates and Maintenance teams to ensure property costs represent excellent value, and liaising with local authority Housing Benefit teams.
- Strategic Support: Assisting with business cases for new schemes (including stress testing) and inputting into our 30-year financial plan.
What Skills and Experience Do You Need?
To be successful in this dynamic role, it is essential that you have:
- A part-qualified accountancy status (CCAB/CIMA) or equivalent proven track record in a regulated environment.
- Direct experience with the Social Housing Rent Standard and FRS 102 (specifically Section 34 / The Housing SORP).
- Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to manage your own workload and hit deadlines.
- An understanding of the Voluntary/Charity sector or Housing Associations (experience with business improvement projects is a distinct advantage!).
