If you are passionate about bridging the gap between people and technology to help a vital charity thrive, whether you are an experienced IT professional or a driven graduate looking to launch your career—we encourage you to apply!

Is This Role for You?

  • Do you have proven experience in a client-side IT management role or as a Team Lead within an MSP?
  • Are you a "digital coach" who can translate complex "tech-speak" into plain English for a non-technical audience?
  • Do you want to use your strategic IT skills within an organisation committed to ensuring everyone can hope, belong, contribute, and thrive?
  • Are you a recent IT or Computer Science graduate looking to step into a leadership role where you can truly own the infrastructure?

If you answered yes, you could be the perfect fit for YMCA North Tyneside!

What Will You Be Doing?

As the IT Client Services Manager, you will be the vital link between our diverse teams—from youth workers and housing officers to nursery and gym staff—and our technology. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Partner & Contract Management: Acting as the primary contact for external IT support providers and monitoring SLAs to ensure high-quality, cost-effective service.
  • People Development: Conducting skills gap analyses and delivering training to boost staff confidence and digital literacy (including the ethical use of AI).
  • Security & Resilience: Maintaining our IT Risk Register, implementing robust cybersecurity measures (MFA, encryption), and leading us toward Cyber Essentials certification.
  • Disaster Recovery: Developing and regularly testing a Business Continuity plan to keep our 24/7 operations running smoothly with minimal disruption.
  • Procurement & Asset Management: Leading end-to-end hardware and software procurement, negotiating contracts, and managing the full lifecycle of all devices and telecom suites.

What Skills and Experience Do You Need?

To be successful in this rewarding role, it is essential that you have:

  • Proven experience in a "Client-Side" IT management or MSP Team Lead role.
  • Strong experience in IT procurement, vendor assessment, and implementation.
  • Solid experience creating or maintaining Disaster Recovery plans.
  • High proficiency in Google Workspace Administration and Mobile Device Management (MDM).
  • A practical understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (like Cyber Essentials).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, empathy, patience, and a strategic mindset.
  • (An understanding of the charity sector and the unique challenges of working with vulnerable populations is highly desirable!)
