YMCA Heart of England are looking for a Housing Hub & Maintenance Assistant to join the team, based predominantly in Aston, Birmingham. Working on a full time, permanent contract, 37.5 hours per week and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £25,894.05 per annum.
YMCA Heart of England is a Christian charity providing a range of life-changing services for the local community. With a turnover of over £4m, we house over 300 young people, most of whom previously were homeless, and support them to get their lives back on track. We also care for pre-school children in our nursery and run various social enterprises to create employment and generate income for our charitable work.
This is a new role which has been brought about following a recent review of the organisation. As a member of the team you will provide administrative support to internal and external customers. You will be joining a leading charity and will ensure the delivery of an effective and responsive planned repairs and maintenance service to tenants and properties that are managed by the organisation.
At YMCA Heart of England, we have over 100 employees working across multiple sites in Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry and Warwickshire, who are all committed to delivering our mission, to inspire young people to discover their potential so that they can live life in all its fullness. We provide accommodation for more than 340 young people, many of whom have experienced homelessness, and support them to get their lives back on track. We also run a children’s nursery and deliver youth work in areas of high need, manage two community centres with conferencing facilities and deliver a range of business to business training, all of which create employment opportunities and deliver income for our charitable work.
