Catering provision is an important pillar of our core programmes across YMCA Fairthorne Group, ensuring the continued development of children and other members of the communities in which we work. This role is pivotal in providing seamless communication between the Fairthorne Manor operational delivery team and our internal and external customers, ensuring the delivery of a consistently high quality, reliable and innovative catering service. This role also works with the Head Chef to ensure the delivery of a high quality catering service across the YMCA Fairthorne Group, meeting the specific needs of Fairthorne Manor and the wider needs of other community branches where relevant.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate monthly catering cross‑charge information to the finance team.
- Work closely with the marketing team to prepare for events, communicating menu, pricing and forecasting.
- Provide an internal link between the Fairthorne Catering Team and off‑site YMCA nurseries where meals are provided, including resolution of any menu, dietary and transport issues.
- Assist the Head Chef with administrative contact and liaison with the local EHO department to ensure compliance with food policies and statutory and legislative compliance, including maintenance of relevant paperwork and implementation of recommendations for delivery areas.
- Liaise with visiting schools and groups with regards to dietary requirements, special requests, meal choices and other pre‑visit catering requirements.

Qualifications

Location: YMCA Fairthorne Manor
Hours: 25 hours per week
Salary: £16,562 per annum (equivalent to £12.74 per hour)
