The Vacancy
Do you enjoy housekeeping work, including cleaning, tidying, and maintaining supplies? Would you like your work to include talking to our residents (who are vulnerable adults), engaging with them, and encouraging them to participate in daily activities? Can you commute to High Wycombe? We are looking for 3 housekeeping support workers to join our friendly team in High Wycombe.
The Role:
The primary focus of the role is to provide high-quality cleaning services within all areas of the site, whilst also providing support to residents as part of the wider housing team. You will be working in a friendly team, with colleagues and managers who will treat you with respect. We provide accommodation to 141 vulnerable adults, and we need your help cleaning the communal areas and void properties.
We would like you to bring an excellent knowledge of cleaning materials, a willingness to interact with people around you, and a thorough understanding of health & safety and COSHH.
The work includes:
- Cleaning of all hostel and other allocated office and public areas, including all allocated rooms, corridors, bathrooms, showers, toilets, including vacuuming regularly, wiping ledges, sweeping stairs, cleaning glass, dusting, washing floors, emptying bins, and removing rubbish from designated areas.
- May be required to take rubbish to skip or other location.
- Maintain adequate supplies of toilet requisites in bathrooms and toilets.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the YMCA site is maintained to the required standard.
- Follow the work schedule and complete within the time allocated.
- Provide a high level of customer service to staff, residents, and the general public.
We can offer 21 hours per week. The pro rata salary is £13,104 per year with a full-time equivalent of £23,400.
Working Pattern: Shifts between 0600 - 2100 on a rota over 7 days to be discussed at interview.
