Job Purpose: To coordinate and deliver a range of Short Breaks activity clubs for children.
Salary Range: £29,974 – £34,278
Hours of work: 35 hours per week
Working Pattern:
Term time hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday from 09:00 on a rota basis, with one weekend day each week (max 35 weeks).
School holidays hours: Monday to Friday from 09:00 (min 17 weeks).
Flexibility required to meet service needs.

Location: YMCA Sovereign Centre, Slipshatch Road, Reigate, RH2 8HA (occasional sessions in Epsom, Leatherhead, or West Sussex)
Annual leave: Starting at 33 days, including eight UK Bank Holidays. Note: Annual leave usually not taken during school holidays, which are key delivery periods.

Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver enjoyable, recreational, high-quality activities for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities.
- Coordinate planning, allocation of places, and staffing to ensure safe delivery of clubs.
- Assist in recruitment, training, and development of the Disability staff team.
- Lead and manage a team of Play/Youth Workers and volunteers.
- Handle referrals, assessments, care plans, and risk assessments to meet individual needs.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and on-site management of club activities.
- Develop strategies and behavioural support plans for participants.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements and monitor ongoing standards.
- Monitor attendance and activity budgets.
- Promote clubs through social media and manage cohort numbers and waiting lists.
- Administer medication, PEG feeds, and assist with movement and handling for children with complex health needs, after relevant training.
- Work closely with children, young people, and families to identify suitable activities.
- Foster an environment where young people feel valued, confident, and develop life skills.
- Gather feedback from young people to improve future sessions.
- Collaborate with the delivery team and initiate local activities.
- Manage health and safety, safeguarding policies, and risk assessments.
- Provide information and guidance to parents/carers about local services.
- Participate in meetings and forums related to CYP services.
- Provide operational cover for other Disability Services or locations as needed.
- Design and deliver staff training sessions.
- Act as Duty Officer at the Sovereign Centre as scheduled.
- Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by the Disability Services Manager.
