Job Overview

We are recruiting for a Night Housing Support Officer to join our Housing team. You will be responsible for delivering high quality support and personal development opportunities to young people in our supported accommodation, and flexibly respond to individual needs to help them live as independently as possible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma‑informed and restorative care, devise, review and update developmental support plans, record events and maintain required records.
  • Support and contribute to the resourcing of interventions for residents in crisis, manage physical risk or behaviour likely to cause incidents according to the individual’s personal developmental support tasks.
  • Induct residents into accommodation, ensuring the licence agreement terms are understood and safety issues are explained.
  • Provide support that equips individuals with confidence and skills to live independent and sustainable lives.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with supported individuals, families, recovery communities, service partners and stakeholders.
  • Attend and contribute to individual support reviews with partnership agencies.
  • Adhere to lone‑working policy, fire safety and evacuation procedures.
  • Safeguard adults, young people and children at risk of harm; uphold local and national safeguarding guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and attend meetings and supervision sessions.
  • Communicate with line management and complete tasks as required by management.
  • Respond to emergencies and cover front reception desk as needed.
  • Contribute to service development and improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

Required: Knowledge of supported housing provision and of the needs of young people; understanding of Equal Opportunities and Diversity issues.

Desirable: Level 3 NVQ or higher in Housing, Social Work or Youth Work, a current First Aid qualification, and understanding of night shift duties in supported housing.

Pay
