Overview

Provide opportunities for children to learn through play experiences that are cohesive with our practice and the EYFS, utilising the outdoors as much as possible. Provide a secure and stimulating environment where children can develop emotionally and intellectually as well as morally, physically, spiritually and socially, at their own pace. Maintain the safety, security and wellbeing of the children in our care. Undertake work positively as part of the team, contributing ideas and listening to feedback, to guide development of our practice and care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide opportunities for children to learn through play experiences in line with EYFS and outdoor learning.
  • Ensure a secure, stimulating environment supporting children\’s emotional, intellectual, moral, physical, spiritual and social development.
  • Maintain safety, security and wellbeing of children in care.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of the team, contribute ideas, and respond to feedback to improve practice and care.

Skills And Experience

  • Understand and respect that individuals are different; ensure a welcoming experience for all users of our services.
  • Experience of working with children under age 5.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills; ability to maintain clear and accurate records.
  • Solution-focused approach; belief in the value and potential of children and young people.
  • Natural empathy and passion for working with children; able to work as a team or on own initiative.
  • Self-motivated and flexible; able to provide emotional and social support while promoting learning and respect.
  • Willingness to learn, accept leadership and mentoring input; excellent written and verbal communication; good attendance and punctuality.
  • Commitment to providing high standard of customer care; adaptable to new challenges.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Level 2 qualification or above relevant to childcare.
  • First Aid qualification or willingness to learn.
  • Working knowledge of health and safety and safeguarding best practice.

  • Contract: Permanent
  • Salary: £24,530.08 per annum
