Early Years Apprentice

Location: YMCA Dulverton Group, Dulverton, Devon

Salary: £12,514.28 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

General Information

This apprenticeship is designed to develop workplace skills and knowledge, providing a pathway to the Level 3 course and full Early Years Practitioner status. It offers practical experience in child and young person development, safeguarding, positive behaviour support, partnership working, health and safety, and planning & implementing activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide opportunities for children to learn through play experiences aligned with EYFS, using outdoors as much as possible.
  • Create a secure, stimulating environment supporting children’s emotional, intellectual, moral, physical, spiritual and social development at their own pace.
  • Maintain the safety, security and wellbeing of children in our care.
  • Work positively as part of the team, sharing ideas and listening to feedback to improve practice and care.
