Green Hub SEND Curriculum and Wellbeing Lead
Based: YMCA Derbyshire Green Hub and other YMCA sites
Salary: £27,318 pro rata
Hours: 28 hrs per week

This role is part of the YMCA Derbyshire Lifelong Learning team and involves managing and delivering the Green Hub SEND provision at Parcel, aimed at 12 young people aged 16-24 with an EHCP. You will lead and coordinate the delivery team to ensure the program meets individual needs and aligns with our guidelines. You will act as the liaison between YMCA Derbyshire, Derby City Council inclusion team, external agencies, students, and carers. Your focus will be on supporting young people to develop life skills and secure future education or employment opportunities.

The Green Hub is a new facility opening in January 2026, providing a bespoke environment within green space for practical skills, life skills, and core subjects like Math and English.

Key duties include:

  1. Coordinating the delivery of a SEND program for 12 young adults with SEMH needs, focusing on practical skills and employability, including Math and English.
  2. Line managing the delivery team.
  3. Assessing students\’ support needs, strengths, interests, and abilities to facilitate effective progression and ensure personal health and social care support.
  4. Following safeguarding practices and reporting as required.

The appointment is contingent upon receiving two satisfactory references, an Enhanced DBS check, and a six-month probation period.
