MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a trauma-informed support service to young people across Cardiff
- To plan and deliver a creative and progressive programme of youth activities in collaboration with young people and the youth & community team, which is responsive to young people and local needs.
- To actively support the youth forum which provide young people attending our universal/open access provisions a voice on issues that affect them
- To review services and paperwork regularly in partnership with staff, young people and any other stakeholders to identify any areas of improvement
- To contribute to new developments and collate young peoples and service outcomes regarding contractual requirements.
- To ensure young people’s views and opinions are considered for the development of a co-productive model of our youth services
- To work in partnership with all relevant youth work agencies, voluntary and statutory services to improve outcomes for young people.
- Use social media and new technology to ensure young people feel connected and develop a web- presence to reach out to young people
To carry out other duties that reasonably falls within the scope of the post. Specific responsibilities
- Responding to emergencies / crisis.
- Attendance at meetings deemed appropriate by the project managers
- Participation in training and supervision.
- You must work constructively with other departments within the YMCA Cardiff Group.
- Assisting with jobs that usually fall to another member of staff, but in whose absence, failure to carry out the work would present a risk or offence to others or would be detrimental to the organisation’s service provision.
