We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Level 3 Room Leader to join our team in providing high-quality childcare and early childhood education. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and communicating effectively with both children and parents. This role requires a commitment to fostering a nurturing environment that promotes the development of children in our care.
Duties
- Responsible for ensuring that staff and students are aware of the expectations of the nursery, giving support and advice when needed.
- Manage daily activities and routines for children, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Being a positive role model for other childcare staff and children.
- Provide high-quality childcare, focusing on the individual needs of each child.
- Ensure that the key worker system in place is a working tool for members of staff to take responsibility for individual children.
- To ensure that a regular daily health & safety check of the room is undertaken and that all policies and procedures of the nursery are implemented, and any problems are reported to the Nursery Management team.
- Facilitate early childhood education programmes that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's operations and overall quality of care.
- Collaborate with team members to create a supportive atmosphere for both staff and children.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s development and activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare, particularly with young children.
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Leadership abilities to guide and inspire a team of practitioners.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
Location - Redland, Chippenham
Hours - 37.5 hours per week
Salary - £13.72
