Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated HR Advisor to join our People Team to provide professional, practical and proactive people support across YMCA Brunel Group.

The postholder will act as the first point of contact for operational HR matters, supporting managers through the employee lifecycle whilst contributing to People projects, compliance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role will strengthen the organisation's people capability, improve employee experience and support the delivery of strategic People objectives.

The Candidate The successful candidate will be an experienced HR professional with strong employee relations knowledge and a passion for delivering excellent people services.

Ideally, you will hold a CIPD Level 5 qualification or be working towards this qualification, although candidates with significant practical HR experience will also be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities Employee Relations Manage employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, capability, probation, absence and flexible working matters.

Support managers through investigations and help them prepare comprehensive investigation reports.

Support managers through formal HR processes and meetings.

Provide advice and guidance in line with employment legislation and organisational policy.

Prepare HR correspondence and maintain case documentation.

Manager Support Provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees.

Coach and support managers in applying policies and procedures consistently.

Assist managers with performance management and absence management processes.

Support managers with probationary reviews and employee development discussions.

Compliance and HR Operations Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.

Projects and Continuous Improvement Support the People Team with implementation of HR and recruitment systems.

Assist with policy reviews and development of guidance documents and procedures.

Support learning and development activities.

Help to identify opportunities to improve People processes and procedures.

Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing throughout the organisation.

Comply with all YMCA Brunel Group policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
