We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic Educational Leader to join our YMCA Everleigh Outside School Hours Care team on a permanent part-time basis. In this role, you'll help shape fun, engaging programs that support children's learning and development outside of school hours. You'll guide and support a team of educators, bring creative ideas to life, and make sure every child feels safe, supported, and included.

What you’ll do

With the guidance of our experienced Children’s Services Leadership Team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the creation, delivery, and ongoing improvement of inspiring educational programs that spark curiosity and growth
  • Guiding, motivating, and empowering educators to shine in their roles and reach their full potential
  • Championing child-centred, play-based learning that aligns with the latest frameworks and truly puts kids first
  • Building a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture where every team member feels valued and inspired
  • Leading by example, encouraging reflective practice and best-in-class teaching approaches
  • Connecting and collaborating with families, schools, and community partners to create a strong support network around each child
  • Ensuring all programs meet and exceed compliance requirements while maintaining the highest standards of care

What you’ll bring

  • A Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent (desirable)
  • Minimum three years' experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care setting
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of the approved learning framework
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of child development, attachment, learning
  • A demonstrated understanding of evidence-based best practice approaches to teaching and learning
  • Working knowledge of leadership theory and the use of a range of leadership styles
  • Well-developed critical thinking skills, including the ability to analyse and challenge conventional practice and ideas
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
