Caritas Diocese of Salford is the principal social action agency of the Catholic Diocese. Responsibilities
- Provide a friendly and professional welcome to residents arriving and departing the hostel.
- Spend time with residents in communal areas to promote a welcoming atmosphere.
- Maintain cleanliness and comfort throughout the building and facilities.
- Monitor CCTV and answer telephone calls, ensuring a safe environment.
- Conduct daily health and safety checks and log information for staff.
- Provide a detailed handover to the next shift each night.
- Maintain security of the building and report incidents or accidents to on-call staff or emergency services.
- Signpost residents to support services and respond to first-aid needs, following service procedures and guidance.
- Support residents in any other reasonable duties required to maintain smooth hostel operations.
Qualifications
Experience working within a residential setting or similar and engaging with people who are homeless.
