YMCA Bournemouth Child Contact Centre is a NACCC accredited service supporting children and families to build positive relationships even when they do not live together. We offer a safe and neutral environment where the child is the most important person.
We are looking to recruit a weekend practitioner who will observe supervised and supported family time. You will demonstrate:
- An ability to work closely and non-judgementally with other people, showing an understanding of boundaries and a commitment to equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory working.
- Excellent communication skills with all ages and ability to provide clear, written information.
- The ability to deal sensitively with people under stress.
- Good IT skills.
An NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field is required.
Salary (relief role) £12.21 per hour. Hours available 7 days a week between 08.30 and 18.30, most hours available are weekends. Weekly rotas agreed in advance.

The role has a statutory, occupational requirement to ensure the safety and welfare of all children, young people and adults at risk that they may come across using our services. The post holder will take responsibility for ensuring safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk as a priority and follow both YMCA Bournemouth safeguarding policy and Pan Dorset statutory guidance.
