About The Position: We are looking for a Team Leader – Night Support and Security to join our team and contribute to the safety, security and wellbeing of our residents and the effective delivery of our night support services. As part of the role, you will work within the Housing department, ensuring the safety and security of YMCA residents, premises and staff while providing effective leadership and support to the night team.
This Role Will Involve:
- Being responsible for the ongoing leadership, supervision, training and support of the night team.
- Being responsible for the safety and wellbeing of all residents across all YMCA accommodation.
- Supervising the security of all YMCA housing premises and all related programme, public and office areas.
- Organising the night staff duty rota to ensure that accommodation is always staffed with appropriate Night Support personnel, and ensuring that the Housing Lead, Finance and HR staff are aware of extra hours worked and absences by the night team.
- Handling emergency situations relating to buildings and individuals in an appropriate manner.

Personal Attributes: We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and committed Team Leader to supervise the security and safety of YMCA premises and complex clients during the hours of 9.00 p.m. to 8.00 a.m., and to be responsible for the support and leadership of the Night Support and Building Security team.

Essential qualifications and experience:
- Experience of working with clients with some form of support need/vulnerable people in a strengths-based, trauma-informed way.
- A qualification in one of the following: Welfare Benefits, Housing Management, Housing-Related Support, NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care, or Team Leading/Management.
- Experience of managing or supervising a team.
- Knowledge of adult safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to work unsocial hours, including additional hours as TOIL or overtime, as required.
Desirable Qualifications And Experience:
- Knowledge of tenancy/licence agreements and housing management procedures.
- Knowledge of Housing Benefit and DWP benefits.
