We are looking for an accommodation and support worker to join our team and contribute to providing support to individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability. You will work within the housing department and help residents achieve stability, independence, and personal growth.

Responsibilities

  • Offer person‑centered support to residents, helping them develop life skills and achieve personal goals.
  • Assist residents in managing tenancy responsibilities and accessing relevant services.
  • Maintain accurate records and collaborate with partner agencies.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all residents.
  • Support day‑to‑day operations, including health and safety checks and incident reporting.
  • Contribute to meaningful services that have a lasting, positive impact on residents.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with clients who have support needs (essential).
  • A relevant qualification in health and social care, level 3 or similar (desirable).

Employment Conditions

  • Employment is subject to satisfactory references, right to work checks, and a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
  • For roles involving regulated activity with children or adults at risk, an Enhanced level DBS check is required; other roles require a Basic level DBS check.
  • The role has a statutory occupational requirement to safeguard children, young people and adults at risk.
  • The post holder will follow YMCA Bournemouth safeguarding policy and the Dorset Safeguarding Children Partnership statutory guidance.
