Senior Digital Product Designer (Contract)

Role Summary: As a Senior Digital Product Designer you will join a client team to build innovative products. You’ll design scalable, resilient, and visually compelling user experiences, build and evolve design systems, and collaborate with product, engineering, and research colleagues. You’ll also mentor junior designers and bring a passion for research, accessibility and inclusive design.
Responsibilities
- Define end‑to‑end user experiences, from research to high‑fidelity prototypes.
- Create and maintain a reusable design system that drives consistency across products.
- Implement UI patterns that are accessible, performant, and visually engaging.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and research teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
- Mentor junior and mid‑level designers, fostering their growth.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in UX design, product strategy, and UI/interaction design.
- Familiarity with animation in UI and ability to create engaging motion.
- Knowledge of web accessibility best practices.
- Optional coding skills – a plus but not essential.
- Experience with Zeroheight and Storybook is welcome.
- Proven track record with design systems and creating reusable components.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, usable experiences.
- Comfortable working through all product design phases: research, sketching, wireframing, UI design, prototyping, user testing.
- Strong commitment to accessibility and inclusive design.
- Adaptable to a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
- Continuous learner with a passion for self‑development.
- Experience working remotely or in hybrid office settings.
