Are you an experienced electrician or electrical supervisor with solar PV experience looking to step into a leadership role? We are supporting a growing renewable energy contractor who are expanding their electrical division and looking to appoint an Electrical Manager / Nominated Technical Person (NTP) to oversee their electrical and solar operations. This role offers the opportunity to move beyond installation work and take on technical leadership and compliance responsibility, supporting the delivery of solar PV and battery projects while managing a team of engineers. You will play a key role in ensuring installations meet the highest standards while helping to shape the future of the electrical division.
What you'll be doing:
- Acting as the Nominated Technical Person (NTP) for the business
- Serving as NICEIC / NAPIT Qualified Supervisor
- Overseeing electrical compliance, inspection and testing
- Providing technical oversight for solar PV and battery installations
- Managing and supporting a team of 48 electricians and installers
- Ensuring installations meet current BS7671 regulations and certification standards
- Supporting quality standards and technical development within the team
What we're looking for:
- This role would suit someone currently working as:
- Electrical Qualified Supervisor (QS)
- Solar PV technical lead
- Electrical supervisor or manager
- Senior electrician with solar experience looking to step up
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
- AM2 Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition
- Solar PV / battery installation experience
- Strong understanding of electrical compliance and certification
