Company Overview: YKGroup ltd is a growing Architectural studio specialising in residential and commercial projects in and around London. Over the past 12 years, we have been involved in a turnkey solution ranging from small to large scale projects, luxury interior fit-outs and construction. YKG also has a sister company, Extension Architecture which is predominantly planning based for developments and extensions of all kinds.
Position Overview: YKG intends to appoint an enthusiastic and well organised Interior Design Intern to assist with day to day interior design projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in design research, concept development, and mood boards.
- Create 2D drawings and 3D renderings using software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit.
- Support the interior design team to organise the material library and samples in the office. Maintain design libraries, sample inventory, and vendor contacts.
- Help prepare client presentations and project documentation and meeting notes.
- Collaborate with designers and project managers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Visit project sites to assist in measurements, layouts, and installations.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and materials in interior design.
Requirements:
- A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for design.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior internship experience or knowledge of the design industry is a plus.
