Are you an experienced CMM Inspector looking to work on some of the most advanced precision-engineered components in motorsport? We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Inspector to join a high-performance manufacturing team producing complex machined components for Formula 1 and elite motorsport applications. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where quality, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical.
Using Renishaw CMM equipment and PC-DMIS software, you will be responsible for inspecting precision-machined parts to extremely tight tolerances, ensuring every component meets the demanding standards expected within the motorsport industry.
Key Responsibilities- Perform first-off, in-process and final inspection of precision-machined components.
- Operate CMM equipment to verify dimensional compliance against engineering drawings and CAD data.
- Produce and review inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Identify and investigate non-conformances, supporting corrective actions where required.
- Work closely with machinists, programmers and quality engineers to maintain exceptional quality standards.
- Ensure all inspection activities are completed accurately and efficiently within production deadlines.
We are keen to hear from candidates who have experience inspecting precision-machined components using CMM equipment, whether or not they have direct experience with PC-DMIS. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a CMM Inspector, Quality Inspector or Metrology Technician.
- Experience inspecting complex machined components within precision engineering, aerospace, automotive, motorsport or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T and geometric tolerances.
- Experience using CMM machinery for dimensional inspection.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative manufacturing team.
- Experience with Renishaw CMM systems.
- Previous use of PC-DMIS software.
- Exposure to Formula 1, motorsport, aerospace or high-performance engineering environments.
- Understanding of FAIRs and quality management systems.
