Research Assistant (JC Cool Think Junior)
JC Cool Think Junior develops computational thinking among P1 to P3 students across 200 primary schools in Hong Kong and seven community CT hubs over Y0 to Y4 (Jun 2026 to Aug 2030), led by YCCECE for HKJCCT, with project partners City UHK and ACTi CT.
The Research Assistant supports the data collection, management, and preliminary analysis of Cool Think Junior, ensuring assessment and survey logistics run smoothly across participating schools and that research records remain accurate and compliant.
- Job Responsibilities
- Administer student assessment instruments (adapted c CTt for P2 to P3, group assessment for P1) at the five measurement points (T0 to T4).
- Coordinate survey logistics for teacher questionnaires (CT-TPACK, STEBI-A) and parent engagement surveys.
- Manage research data entry, cleaning, and filing across student, teacher, and hub datasets.
- Assist with preliminary data analysis, literature reviews, and the preparation of tables and figures.
- Coordinate with school contacts to schedule assessment visits, arrange consent forms, and manage materials logistics.
- Support hub evaluation data collection and maintain the research filing and ethics documentation.
- Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Experience in research data collection and survey administration is preferred.
- Supporting role in data collection and preliminary analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic statistical software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese, written and spoken, for school fieldwork.

Initial appointment will normally be made on a renewable 24+ months contract.
Remuneration is competitive and will be based on qualifications and relevant experience.
