The Centre Manager leads the growth and visibility of PPDS through marketing, partnerships and programme development, while overseeing smooth centre operations and supporting the Centre Director in delivering high-quality programmes and community engagement.

Marketing, Development and Community Engagement

  • Lead PPDS marketing efforts across website, social media and other channels to build awareness and participation.
  • Support the design and promotion of programmes, events and initiatives that deepen engagement with schools, families and the wider community.
  • Contribute to fundraising and donor-relations activities, helping to prepare materials, host visits and maintain positive relationships with supporters.
  • Represent PPDS/YCECDC at community and professional events to strengthen networks and partnerships.

Stakeholder Communication and Relationships

  • Act as a key point of contact for PPDS participants (schools, public, VIPs) and internal colleagues.
  • Provide timely, accurate information and foster positive, professional relationships with staff, parents and external partners.
  • Support clear, consistent communication about PPDS programmes and opportunities.

Centre Operations and Administration

  • Oversee booking and registration processes, internal booking systems, schedules and general office administration.
  • Ensure efficient procedures for correspondence, record-keeping and internal coordination.
  • Coordinate resources and purchasing related to programmes and activities in line with College procedures and cost-effective practice.

Reporting and College Support

  • Prepare regular and ad‑hoc reports on participation, outreach and operations to support management decisions and strategic planning.
  • Assist with College events and cross‑unit initiatives as required.

People Leadership and HR Support

  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership and support to PPDS staff (including part‑time staff), fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
  • Work with the Centre Director and HR to support recruitment, onboarding, basic HR processes, and the preparation/supervision of duty rosters, sick leave and annual leave records.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; a related discipline (education, communications, marketing, non‑profit management or similar) and/or higher degree is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role, ideally with exposure to marketing, outreach, programme or community development.
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing, communications or audience development (e.g. social media, simple campaigns, stakeholder engagement).
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills, with experience in administrative and/or centre operations.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and familiar with social media and online booking/registration systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership and people‑management skills, with a supportive, team‑oriented approach.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, integrity and professional work ethic; able to represent the College positively in the community.
  • Good command of Cantonese and English; conversational Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Able to work on a roster basis, including some weekends and public holidays, depending on programme and event schedules.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

  • Initial appointment will normally be made on a renewable 24+ months contract. Remuneration is competitive and will be based on qualifications and relevant experience.
  • The College offers group medical insurance and dental, staff development support and leave provisions (annual leave, birthday leave, college leave, etc.) to eligible appointee.
  • Appointee will undergo a Medical Examination and the Sexual Conviction Record Check.
