We are looking for a talented and experienced backend engineer with a focus in Node.js and AWS cloud architecture. Your responsibilities will include the development, improvement, testing, and deployment of web applications, middleware, integrations and microservices architecture that underpin our eCommerce channels and customization systems in Europe.
Responsibilities- Design, build, test, and deploy business critical applications, service layers, and APIs.
- Actively drive sound technical decisions that allow our software to operate with high quality, at large scale, and with a high level of availability.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance is achieved.
- Work closely with the web developers and other team members to build features, resolve issues, and perform testing related to customer facing, high traffic services and applications in a collaborative environment while owning your solution from development to production.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- At least 4-6 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience working with and developing web applications running on or interacting with enterprise cloud service platforms such as AWS (required).
- At least 4 years Node.js development experience, including having built a REST API with a Node.js framework such as Express.js, Koa, or NestJS (required).
- Familiarity with Shopify APIs and development ecosystem (preferred).
- Knowledge of eCommerce best practices (preferred).
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
