The Opportunity

Are you a driven, commercially minded sales professional with a talent for building lasting client relationships? Our client — a global market leader in critical power infrastructure solutions — is looking for an ambitious BDM to spearhead rental sales growth across the Midlands and North. This is a high-impact, autonomous role where you'll own your patch, build a portfolio of key accounts, and play a central part in the continued expansion of their Rental Division. If you're energised by hunting new business as much as nurturing existing relationships, this is the role for you.

About the Company

Our client is a globally recognised manufacturer with decades of expertise supporting critical power infrastructure projects across data centres, utilities, oil & gas, and more. They have a strong market reputation built on quality, reliability, and technical excellence.

The Role

Reporting to the European Head of Sales – Rental, you'll grow incremental and new rental revenues across your region — combining strategic account management with proactive new business development.

  • Growing rental revenue through new client acquisition and existing account development
  • Building consultative relationships with senior stakeholders on mid and large-scale projects
  • Preparing compelling proposals and negotiating contracts
  • Collaborating with rental sales and project teams to deliver tailored solutions
  • Representing the business at trade shows and industry events
  • Managing forecasts, pipelines, and monthly sales reporting

What We're Looking For

  • Proven B2B sales experience — ideally in rental, industrial, electrical, or capital equipment
  • Consultative approach with the gravitas to engage at senior levels
  • Self-motivated and comfortable operating independently across a regional patch
  • Strong commercial acumen and pipeline management
  • Full UK driving licence
