St George’s Hill Golf Club, a world-ranked, Harry Colt-designed 27-hole heathland private members’ club in Surrey, is seeking an experienced Mechanic to take responsibility for maintaining a premium fleet of turf machinery and equipment.
Working as part of the Course team, the successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operation of the workshop, machinery and yard, ensuring all equipment is safe, reliable and maintained to the highest standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience maintaining turf machinery and equipment within the golf, sports turf or grounds industry
- Competent using systems for service records, stock control and budget information
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong mechanical and technical skills, including diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance
- Ambitious, self‑motivated and committed to continuous improvement
- An appreciation of very high standards
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
