Murrayfield Golf Club is seeking an experienced golf club administrator to support the smooth delivery of golf operations, competitions, member communications and key compliance activities. The role offers broad exposure across club operations and is ideal for someone looking to progress towards senior golf club management.
Murrayfield Golf Club is a welcoming, forward-thinking private members' club located in the heart of Edinburgh. With over 1,500 members, a waiting list and sustained growth over recent years, this is an exciting opportunity to join one of Scotland's leading member clubs. We are seeking an ambitious individual with a solid understanding of operations within a private members' golf club. This is not an entry-level role and would suit a knowledgeable golf club administrator looking to progress their career towards senior club management.
The Role
- Golf operations, including:
- Coordinating open competitions, annual club matches and external golf events
- Managing the club's extensive programme of member and open competitions, from setup through to delivery within our club management software
- Continually improving the golfing experience for members, guests and visitors
- Coordination and support of our junior section
- Administration of Intelligent Golf software – an advanced level of knowledge and use
- Health & Safety, supporting compliance across the club and taking ownership of designated responsibilities
- Marketing & Communications, producing engaging member communications across all channels including the effective use of AI tools
However, the role also provides valuable exposure and touch points with every aspect of club operations, including food & beverage, membership administration, finance, facilities management and the golf course.
What We're Looking For
- You’ll have an advantage if you:
- Are working within the industry and progressing through the GCMA or CMAE education pathway and are committed to a career in golf club management
- Have experience of Intelligent Golf software and a firm knowledge of World Handicapping System processes
- Are a well organised project manager, communicate confidently and are comfortable presenting operational matters to groups of members or club directors when required
Location
The role reports to the General Manager and is based at the club. Some weekend working is required, particularly during the main golf season.
Salary & Benefits
- Full-time, salary £34,000–£38,000pa depending on qualifications, skills and experience
