The Renaissance Club is seeking a Member & Guest Services professional to deliver an exceptional experience for members and visitors at one of the world's leading private golf clubs.

This varied, customer-facing role involves coordinating guest services, accommodation, bookings and club operations while ensuring the highest standards of hospitality.

The member & guest services department play a key role in ensuring the smooth day to day running as well as organising and improving for the future.

Liaising with every department and making sure the needs of the members and their guests are met is vital to the success of Renaissance.

The role is challenging yet rewarding, all your skills will be utilised with the wide variety of tasks that may be undertaken on a daily basis.

The brief description below will be the main areas of the member services role but not exhaustive of what is required to make Renaissance “Rare Indeed”.

  • Provide excellent customer service to all members and guests, dealing with their requests and enquiries in a timely and professional manner;
  • Anticipate the clubs members/guests needs through proactive activity
  • Understand and be familiar with all the clubs events
  • Dealing with members and guests, including handling complaints when they come to the desk
  • Ability to deal with bookings by phone, e-mail, letter, fax or face-to-face
  • Completing procedures when members/guests check-in and depart
  • Preparing room keys and cards
  • Troubleshooting emergencies
  • Liaising with other departments
  • Ability to multitask and good time management skills
  • Good telephone skills including taking and passing on message to the relevant person. Screening calls.
  • Ability to deal with special requests: booking restaurants/transport/tee times/lost baggage/shipments etc
  • Self-motivated natural team player with a passion for excellent customer service
  • Attention to detail, with a solid understanding of financial awareness; ability to maximise sales and upsell where possible
  • Full driving licence to be available to transport members & guests when required
  • Good proven standard of literacy, numeracy and IT skills
  • Taking and accurately processing payment for accommodation and other club related charges.
  • Central point for providing accurate information to members/guests and other departments within the club
  • Good problem solving skills and a methodical approach to your work
  • Check and sign for deliveries, before informing the relevant member of staff of their arrival.

Deliveries by post or courier will include valuable items (cash, passports).

Follow procedures and ensure security of valuables.

  • When required to assist members/guests with purchases within the pro shop
  • To manage room reservations ensuring that the accommodation manager has been informed and all enquiries are accurately dealt with.
  • Able to work flexible hours including split shifts when required.

It is expected that the job description will be reviewed regularly by management and his/her manager.

These discussions will normally take place during the Staff Development Review interview.
