One of Cambridgeshire’s leading members’ clubs, Ely City Golf Club is seeking to appoint an exceptional General Manager to lead the Club through its next phase of development. With a clear strategic vision, ambitious plans for the future and a strong commitment to delivering an outstanding member experience, the Board is looking for an experienced and commercially minded leader to take overall responsibility for the management and performance of the Club.

Reporting directly to the Chairman, the successful candidate will lead the Executive Leadership Team and work closely with the Board to deliver the Club’s long‑term objectives. Supported by an experienced Head of Golf, who is responsible for all golf operations and course management, the General Manager will focus on the wider leadership of the business that is strengthening hospitality and commercial performance, developing high‑performing teams and enhancing the overall member experience.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven senior leadership experience within a golf club, hospitality, leisure or comparable service environment
  • A successful track record of developing hospitality operations and growing food and beverage revenues
  • Strong commercial, financial and strategic leadership capability
  • The ability to build high‑performing teams and develop productive relationships with members, staff, volunteers and the Board
