Yes! Logistics Solutions is a growing, entrepreneurial logistics business with a reputation for flexibility, service and saying βyesβ where others wonβt. Backed by a strong parent group and investing for growth, the business is now looking to appoint an Operations Manager to take ownership of logistics operations at its Rugby site.
This is a hands-on leadership role, reporting directly to the Managing Director, with real scope to shape how the operation runs today and how it scales tomorrow.
You will have end-to-end responsibility for warehouse fulfilment and storage operations on site, including pick & pack and bulk storage activities. The operation is currently small but growing, with new customer onboarding, process improvement and a WMS change already underway.
Key elements of the role include:
- Day-to-day leadership of the Rugby logistics operation
- Onboarding and stabilising new customers into the warehouse
- Driving process improvement, productivity and efficiency
- Supporting and embedding a new WMS implementation
- Improving control, visibility and consistency across stock and flows
- Leading, developing and growing the operational team as volumes increase
- Being visible and hands-on on the shop floor when required
This role has no responsibility for the wood packaging / case-making operation, which sits separately within the wider business.
We are looking for a practical, commercially minded logistics professional who enjoys being close to the operation and making things better.
You are likely to have:
- Experience managing a single-site warehouse or distribution operation
- Strong exposure to pick & pack, fulfilment and stock accuracy
- A track record of customer onboarding and operational change
- Confidence working with WMS and warehouse IT systems
- A hands-on leadership style with genuine team spirit
- Ambition to grow with a developing business rather than sit in a rigid structure
- Background in large, heavily automated or highly corporate environments is not essential; attitude, adaptability and mindset matter more.
A growing business with clear ambition and investment behind it. Direct access to, and support from, an engaged Managing Director. The chance to shape and grow a logistics operation, not just inherit one. A role that can develop in scope and responsibility as the business expands. A down-to-earth, people-focused culture with short decision lines.
Location: Rugby β this is a site-based role, Monday to Friday. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
