Join Yeovil College as Programme Lead for our expanding Social Work provision, including our newly launched BSc (Hons) Social Work Degree. We’re seeking an experienced and engaging professional to help shape an ambitious programme, inspire future social workers, and create outstanding opportunities for students on a full-time or substantial part-time basis. In this key role, you’ll play a central part in delivering an outstanding Social Work programme, ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning, and assessment are maintained in partnership with our university partner. Working closely with the course link tutor, you’ll support curriculum development, quality assurance, and programme enhancement, while inspiring students through teaching, assessment, tutoring, and practice reviews. With dedicated remission hours and full support to gain a teaching qualification if required, you’ll have the opportunity to thrive and make a meaningful impact.
What we're looking for:
- Current SWE Registered Social Worker with a commitment to maintaining registration
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification practice experience, ideally in Adult Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Misuse, or Adult Social Care
- Social Work degree qualification and a teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards
- Passion for teaching, learning, and developing future social work professionals
- Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage workloads effectively
- Commitment to research, continuous improvement, and maintaining high professional standards
- Resilient, adaptable, and confident in supporting learners and managing challenges
- Ability to inspire learners and deliver an outstanding student experience

- Actual Salary: £39,917 up to £45,539 FTE
- Full-time position, 37 hours per week, all year round or substantial part time
