Make a real difference in the lives of learners at Yeovil College! We’re inviting you to join our team as a Learning Support Practitioner, where you’ll play a pivotal role within our dedicated Foundation Learning team. As a key member of our team, you’ll make a lasting impact by supporting students one-on-one, helping them reach their full potential. Managing your own case load, you’ll collaborate with passionate educators to create a supportive environment where students thrive academically and personally. Building strong relationships with staff, parents, and carers, you’ll drive the “fitness to study” process and implement strategies that promote student success. Acting as a liaison, you’ll empower students to develop essential life skills.

What we’re looking for:

  • A strong interest working with young people with additional needs.
  • Level 2 English or Maths [or equivalent] or willingness to achieve.
  • Level 3 award in Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities or willingness to work towards.
  • A great communicator who can engage with the students.
  • Compassionate and respectful of the learner’s needs.
  • A passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning.
