Yeovil College is looking for an enthusiastic and confident individual to join our growing curriculum team in an exciting, brand-new role! Due to the expansion of our Engineering and motor industry programmes, we are hiring an Assessor to play a vital part in delivering a cutting‑edge curriculum that is innovative, engaging, and designed to equip learners for success.

Within the role you will work closely with colleagues and employers to create an exceptional learning experience, ensuring learners have the skills and knowledge they need to progress. With state‑of‑the‑art training facilities specifically tailored to the Engineering and Motor industries, you'll be part of an inspiring environment where high standards are the norm.

Your role will include advising employers and prospective learners on the best programmes and bespoke training, inducting learners onto work‑based learning, and ensuring everything aligns perfectly with employer needs. What we’re looking for:

  • Previous practical experience in Automotive or an Engineering discipline.
  • Relevant Level 3 trade qualification.
  • An assessor's qualification, or willingness to work towards.
  • An interest in supporting young people to learn and develop new skills.
  • The ability to work successfully within a team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A UK Driving Licence and willingness to visit stakeholders offsite.
