Overview

Help shape brighter futures at Yeovil College as a Student Inclusion Support Practitioner on a term time only basis, working at the heart of our supportive and experienced SEN Team. This is your chance to make a real impact supporting learners on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to help them thrive in their education. You\’ll work closely with students who need that extra boost to access, engage, and succeed, empowering them to become confident, independent learners both in and beyond the classroom.

Responsibilities

  • Support learners on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to access, engage and succeed in their education.
  • Work with the SEN Team to provide inclusive support that helps learners become confident, independent learners.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A strong interest in working with young people with additional educational needs.
  • Passionate about facilitating young people to achieve learning goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Level 2 English and Maths, or willingness to work towards.
  • Level 3 Award for Learning Support Practitioners or willingness to work towards.
  • Respectful of learner\’s personal needs and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • DBS checks are required. Yeovil College uses a third-party registered body (uCheck) to complete DBS checks. Data is handled in accordance with the DBS Code of Practice.
  • DBS checks are only one of several methods used to assess candidates\’ suitability to work with children and young adults.

Salary & Benefits

  • Actual Salary: £19,171.60 (further details: £23,557 FTE).
  • Term-time only position, 37 hours per week.
