Make your mark on the future of Higher Education and Adult learning. At Yeovil College, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Higher Education and Adult Lead to take a leading role in shaping an exceptional learner experience, driving quality and helping our provision go from strength to strength.

This is a role with real influence. You will provide operational leadership across our HE and Adult provision, using insight, data and learner voice to spot opportunities, drive improvement and deliver stronger outcomes, participation and progression. You will be the go-to expert on the changing HE and Adult regulatory landscape, providing trusted advice to senior leaders and ensuring our provision remains compliant with Office for Students requirements, Adult Skills Fund expectations, university partners, awarding bodies and other key regulations.

From recruitment and induction through to achievement and progression, you will work with colleagues across the College to make the learner journey the very best it can be. You will also play an important role in supporting growth, developing best practice and turning insight into action.

If you are ready for a role where your expertise, ideas and leadership can genuinely shape the future of HE and Adult learning, we want to hear from you. Join Yeovil College and help us create an experience our learners can be proud of.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in post-16 education, ideally within a college-based Higher Education or Adult learning environment, with strong knowledge of the current FE, HE and adult learning landscape.
  • Strong regulatory and compliance experience, with the ability to operate confidently within a regulated environment and contribute to effective policies, processes and quality assurance.
  • A proven track record of using data and insight to improve learner experience, attendance, retention, achievement, progression and overall student outcomes.
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills, with experience managing people and working effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and partners.
  • A learner-focused approach, with an understanding of widening participation, student support, careers guidance and safeguarding, alongside experience delivering interventions that improve student success.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a high standard of written English, strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, use initiative and drive continual improvement.

What we offer:

  • Annual Salary: £35,700 - £39,074
  • Full-time position, 37 hours per week, all year round or 30 hours per week, all year round
  • 30 days holiday (plus Christmas closure & bank holidays)
  • Generous pension scheme of 16.1% employer contributions
  • Staff discount scheme with high street and online retailers
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth
  • Employee assistance programme
  • Free onsite gym
  • Subsidised catering facilities
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Access to free staff parking
