Yeovil Collegeis seeking an enthusiastic and committedFoundation Learning Lecturerto join our Foundation Learning Team on a6-month fixed-termcontract startingFebruary 2026, delivering ourNEET programme. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a specialist department that changes lives through inclusive,high-quality education.

In this role, youll work within a passionate team ofspecialistteachers and professionals delivering trauma-informed teaching to learners withspecial educational needsanddisabilities. Youll plan and deliver inclusive lessons, tailorsupportto individual needs, contribute to resources, enrichment, wellbeing, and awarding body requirements, and work closely with Local Authorities and other partners to meetEHCPoutcomes. Supportingyoung peoplewho are not ineducation,employment, ortraining, youll help identify barriers, providetargeted support, and empower learners to re-engage witheducation,training, andemployment pathwaysmaking a real difference in our community by building confidence, resilience, andbrighter futures.Apply todayif youre ready to make a meaningful impact and be part of something truly rewarding.

What we\’re looking for:

  • Experience of teaching students with SEND in either mainstream school, college or a specialist provision
  • A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards.
  • Experience of supporting young people to learn and develop new skills.
  • The ability to work successfully within a team.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • An empathic approach to teaching ad confidence to deal with challenging situations.
