Yeovil College is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Foundation Learning Lecturer to support learners with special educational needs and disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant department that changes lives through education every day.

As a member of our dedicated Foundation Learning Team, you’ll be part of a team of specialist teachers and professionals delivering high-quality, trauma-informed teaching across the Foundation Learning department. Working collaboratively, you’ll plan and deliver inclusive lessons, tailor support to individual learners, and liaise with internal and external professionals to ensure EHCP outcomes are met. You’ll contribute to resource development, ensure compliance with awarding body requirements, and play a key role in learner enrichment and wellbeing. What we\’re looking for:

• Experience of teaching students with SEND in either mainstream school, college or a specialist provision

• A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards.

• Experience of supporting young people to learn and develop new skills.

• The ability to work successfully within a team.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• An empathic approach to teaching ad confidence to deal with challenging situations.
